Article Marketing is serious business. I mean, if you are serious about your business, you absolutely need to do it. Here’s why: You are just getting yourself online. You have a new site that you paid good money to have built. Your web designer did a great job. You are ready for the world to come to your doorstep… what? Nothing happened? You have people visiting your website, but they don’t stay and they certainly don’t buy. Why? Could it be that they don’t know or trust you? The concept of article marketing is to take authored content that you create and distribute it to websites in need of content. When you distribute your article, you include links back to your website (usually in the About the Author section). These links help to improve your website’s link popularity and therefore search engine results. Writing articles is a guaranteed solution to both of these problems. Here’s the deal: You need to get in front of the people who are looking for you. This is the heart of marketing. You also need to gain some popularity on the internet if you want your website to rank well with the search engines. And you need the people in your target market to think you are smart and worthwhile. Yep, marketing through articles can do all of that and more. But you’d better know: It’s not hard, but it is a bit tricky. With a bit of guidance you can become an Article Writing Master in no time! Here are 7 things you have got to do when writing your articles: 1. Build your articles around keywords that your prospects use to look for you. 2. Use your keywords in the right places and in the right amounts. Too many uses of the same keyword phrase will get you penalized by the search engines. 3. Make it interesting. If you find it boring to write, your prospect will find it boring to read. 4. Not to long, not too short, just right. Don’t keep them too long. Be interesting and useful but don’t drone on and on and on… 5. Make sure your resource box does what it’s supposed to do. If you write an article about golf and your resource box talks about your site on fitness training, you will not get the response you are looking for. 6. Give your reader an incentive to seek you out. Offer a free special report, mini-course or some other freebie for clicking to your website from your resource box. 7. Leave them wanting more! If you solve the problem in the article your reader will have no need to learn more. Hence, they won’t click on the link that leads to your website. Article marketing has an art to it, there is no doubt. But it can be mastered quickly and easily. Article marketing done routinely, over time will get you in front of people you would never have reached otherwise. Article marketing seems to be the buzz word in web site marketing and SEO (search engine optimization) lately. I’ve had a lot of people ask me– what exactly is article marketing? Why is it so popular? And how is it done? Well, the whole point of Internet marketing is to get people to notice your site out of the thousands and thousands of sites out there. There is little point in taking the time and going to the expense of having a business website if no one ever sees it. Article marketing is no different than any other form of marketing on the Internet and that if you do it correctly you can be rewarded. Let’s take a look at four essential article marketing strategies you must follow to get maximum benefit out of your articles. First of all use your articles to market for traffic. This is the single most important thing you can do, because people reading your articles represent a tremendous prospect base for you. Therefore your real goal is to use your articles to get the click to a landing page, your website or blog. If you have done that you done your job. Most article directories will allow you to review statistics on how your articles are performing. The most important statistic that you are looking for is how many URL clicks you got. Secondly remember that your articles do not have to win any writing prize. Leave the Pulitzer Prize for the professionals. You just concentrate on writing a good quality article that contains proper grammar and spelling. That means you do not have to spend all day crafting the perfect article. Understand that your readers are not writing critics either. This should take some pressure off of you and allow you to concentrate on getting your article done and ready to start the next one. Thirdly article marketing is a numbers game. It only stands to reason that the more people you have reading your articles and more potential traffic you have coming to it. Therefore spend as much time as you possibly can, either writing articles personally, or contracting them to be written for you. You might even want to consider doing both. Hiring a company to write your articles for you can be an excellent use of your time as well as a way to expand your article marketing efforts. Fourthly do not limit your article marketing efforts to just one directory. Try and get unique versions of them into several of the top directories. If time is a problem use a submission service to do this for you. As a matter of fact automate every portion of your article marketing efforts that you possibly can. In summary, this is four article marketing strategies that will make a difference in whether article marketing works for you or not. The strategic planning process is the formulation of the company’s major objectives and execution plans. This process is of particular interest in GE. Strategy formulation is the process of choosing the best methods for a company where customer needs; competitive position and internal capability are the three factors that play the main role in strategic planning. Every manager needs to have at least a simple notion of strategic planning to formulate his strategic plans. Strategic Planning is a wide and complex subject. Strategic Management background is an essential basis of any organization. Companies plan their various and multilevel activities. A company’s strategic planning is a row of elements that describe how the company uses its resources concerning its inner and outer environments to reach its objectives. Resources contain financial, human, facilities and technology. Resources are limited that is why they are prioritized at GE to support the company’s goals. The positioning and usage of resources includes all elements of the company and develops into strategic decisions of the company. GE strategic planning objective is to increase its economies and at the same time to apply its advantages concerning company’s clients. There are three basic steps of gaining strategic planning within GE: The formulating of a major business strategy. This is the basis of efforts to build a serious competitive advantage. The adaptation of the major business strategy to all the markets where the company’s products are presented. The globalization of the major business strategy. It means the company has to integrate the strategy in all the places of business operation. In order to implement all these factors of strategic planning into practice one should make the SWOT analysis. SWOT analysis is a set of major factors - Company’s Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats - for formulating strategic alternatives. The GE SWOT analysis shows its strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats in order to use this information in the Strategic Planning. When the SWOT analysis is done, it is used as the foundation of objective setting, strategy setting and usage. The SWOT analysis is concentrated upon the most important factors and it is useful in a difficult strategic situation. The strengths are analyzed to reach opportunities and to avoid threats. The search of weaknesses is of importance as it allows the manager to minimize them. At the beginning of the 1980s General Electric, the big USA electronics company determined a goal of increasing its market share. This aim was achieved by acquiring Radio Corporation of America and advanced satellites divisions and disposing of its consumer electronics divisions. This was General Electric’s effective strategic planning that helped to increase the annual income. These are the GE strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats that still form the basis of strategic planning. The developed GE culture is its strength as well as human resources. The competition is great that is why the competitive advantage is the strength too. Technology is an essential part of any business and its usage presents great opportunities to GE Company. GE developed a vision, mission, and general objectives of the company to develop a strategic plan. Vision is the posibility of the manager to organize people together with a common idea. The mission is a broad notion of the company’s vision. GE’s mission consists of severs factors: history, present preferences, the market environment, resources and competencies. The mission gives the company a reason for existence. A good strategic planning process means sharing the “vision” of the company with the employees and creation of a strong corporal culture. When GE goals are defined, strategies are developed to help in achieving its purposes. The GE culture is shapes under the strategic plan. The GE’s information systems are created to successfully use the strengths of human and other resources within the GE. GE Strategic planning is the process of developing and analyzing the company’s mission, near and long term goals, strategies and resources. The strategic planning process passes at the business and product level. It starts with the analysis of the GE’s present strategic planning and goes on with the making up future perspectives. Strategic planning defines the methods of meeting the company’s future challenges and opportunities. The strategic planning is necessary as it helps to create good decisions and affect the future of GE Company. It becomes obvious that effective strategic planning is a constant environmental analysis for applying the changes in the environment and turning them into the opportunities. It allows GE Company to manage or avoid undesirable environment effects. Using the GE Strategic planning the near and long term goals are developed. GE strategy is a set of actions developed to gain long-term goals. Goals focus on vital changes. Two, three, or five years passes till the strategy is achieved. In general, GE has long-term goals for such factors as return on investment, earnings per share, or size. Purposes elaborate on the mission statement and constitute a specific set of policy, programmatic, or management objectives for the programs and operations covered in the strategic plan. Tactical plans have shorter time frames and narrower scopes than strategic plans. Tactical planning provides the specific ideas for implementing the strategic plan. Operational plans support tactical plans and are the tools for executing daily, weekly, and monthly activities. They include policies, procedures, methods, and rules. GE has essentially grown in size and benefits since 1980’s. GE centralized financial management and strategic planning control, and practiced strategic planning management. Harry Potter. The name brings instant recognition from people all over the world. The books have sold over 350 million copies worldwide. Only the bible has more translations. The movies have gone on to grace the lists of the Top 10 grossing films of all time. When Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone was published in 1997, Joanne Kathleen Rowling was a previously unpublished author. She had no publishing credits, no insider knowledge, no friends in the industry. So how did she do it? How did she go on, in the space of ten short years, to become the first billionaire author on the planet? The answer to that question lies not in what she did in those ten years between the publication of the first book and that of the seventh, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. The answer actually lies in what she did in the seven years prior to the first book’s publication. So if you’re an author who is yet to be published, you’re actually in the best possible position. Because it’s in this time, before your book hits the shelves, that you can have the greatest influence on its success. Quite simply, JK Rowling followed a four-step writing process that you too can adopt to write your very own list of bestsellers. The question is: do you have what it takes to be the next JK Rowling? Planning This is by far the most underrated of the steps in the writing process. And in the final wash up it is absolutely the most important. It was 1990 and Jo Rowling was on a train between Manchester and London. Harry literally strolled fully formed into her mind while she was gazing out the train window at a field full of cows. She spent the next four hours (the train was delayed) imagining Harry, the world he inhabited, the friends and enemies he had there and the dangers and joys he may encounter there. She had nothing to write on so had to be content to play this all out in her imagination. By the time she got off the train in London, the central cast of characters were already cemented in her mind. But did she go home and immediately begin scribbling a story with these characters? No, she didn’t. She spent five years, yes that’s right FIVE YEARS creating and developing every last detail of the wizarding world, including government and education systems, how the wizarding world stood shoulder to shoulder with the muggle world, and she devised a highly sophisticated system of magic that would eventually form the backbone of her own special brand of writing magic. On top of this she sculpted out the entire story, planning the details and events of all the seven books, before she put pen to paper to begin writing the first. Would you attempt to build a house without plans? Would you attempt to drive across the country without a map? Or would you set sail on the seas without a compass? Writing a book without a detailed planning stage is like attempting to build a house without plans. Miss this step and you are almost certainly destined to become lost in a forest of your own words. Writing When you are writing, you are just writing. You are not planning, you are not editing. You are writing. Once you have planned your story, it is time to sit down and write it. JK Rowling planned the Harry Potter series for five years before she put pen to paper on the first book She wrote the entire first book, and felt as though she were “carving it out of this mass of notes”. All the planning was worth it. She was able to devote herself to the actual task of writing, knowing that all the story and character elements she needed were covered. This is the best possible place for you to be in when you are writing a novel. Novels are long. Usually over 100,000 words and sometimes as many as 200,000 words and more. That is a lot of words! So if you have planned and structured your story effectively, done your research (either real or in your imagination) and collated your notes, then the writing process is an absolute joy, where you can be very certain of your ability to produce the best possible novel. Jo Rowling said she felt she “had to do right by the book”. She really believed in the story and so when it came to writing it, she made sure she had taken care of all the necessary preparation. Once that’s done, writing is almost easy! Rewriting Jo Rowling rewrote the opening chapter of Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone a total of 15 times. Her mother died just 6 months after her first attempt at Chapter One of that book, and that sent her into a frenzy of rewriting, essentially changing everything. The Potter books are about death, there is no doubt about that, and they are driven particularly by the death of Harry’s parents and his miraculous survival. When Jo Rowling experienced such a major turning point in her own life, she rewrote the story to reflect and process her own pain. Writing and rewriting are separate processes. Writing is scribing or sculpting out the drafts of the story. Rewriting is re-looking and re-seeing. Often the rewrite will show up where the story has gone off track and where questions asked at the start haven’t been answered by the end. In JK Rowling’s case, she realised after writing the entire first book that she had given away the entire plot of the seven books. She rewrote it in this light, and held many things back. Many successful authors say that you only write to rewrite. DH Lawrence even said that he wrote his entire first draft, threw it away and then started again from scratch. Editing Editing is the process of refining and polishing your manuscript. This part of the process may be done by you, or by an external editor. It is often wise to have an editor look over your work before submitting it for publication as it is extremely difficult to get the distance you need from your own work to see where it can be improved. Not that you have to listen to what the editor says. In the end it is your name on the spine of that novel and you are entirely answerable for its contents. Having said that, a good and subtle editor can lift your novel to heights that you may not be able to achieve on your own. It is clear from the Harry Potter series that JK Rowling was more tightly edited at the beginning (the first two novels are barely more than 200 pages and by the time we get to number five, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, we are faced with a weighty tome of over 700 pages) so it is generally advisable at the beginning of your career to bear the advice of your editor heavily in mind, especially if you are new to publishing. In every event, less is more, and a distilled and focussed book is more likely to captivate and intrigue a new audience than a meandering epic that constantly loses its way. Writing a book is a process, never forget that. Each step in the process is unique but necessary. Don’t mix them, and certainly don’t attempt to skip any steps. Do that at your own peril. JK Rowling has shown the world what is possible if you adhere to the basic processes of the art and craft of writing a good story. So before you attempt your next novel, address the four steps in the writing process: planning, writing, rewriting and editing, and be sure you give each step its due. And who knows? You could be the next JK Rowling.
It was 2005 when article marketing revolution began, from then on this industry has sky rocketed. Why not? Article marketing now swarms the worldwide web and proved itself to be a successful hit, most specially in affecting SEO (Search Engine Optimization). Here is the Top 5 SEO Benefits of Article Marketing: Simplicity and cost-efficiency Article writing costs you nothing. Upon submitting your articles, the rest is up to the people who would stumble upon your articles. And when website editors or sometimes even publishers find your articles useful and interesting enough, that’s when the magic begins. Since every article has its own corresponding resource box with your information and most importantly, a link straight back to your website, there’s the magic. The magic of instant promotion! This simple procedure can help you in promoting your site name. Hence, making it more popular and at the same time profitable. This is the way of article marketing, it is simple and semi-automatic. Why semi-automatic? It is because as long as you write useful and interesting articles, undoubtedly, you’re in good business. People will come and go your site and the counter will just keep on moving up. No need to do anything else but to keep your creative juices flowing. Simple enough, your creativity is your most precious capital. Another thing, all the visits you get to your site will be all considered counted as qualified net traffic. It doesn’t matter if someone visits your website just to peek or to actually read your posted articles, just the same, they all fall under qualified visit. It is that simple. Diversity One dilemma for having a specific target audience is that diversity for what they want is almost limited. Consequently, what’s the use of everybody visiting your site when it really does not cater to what they need? You may have accumulated a lot of visits but it makes your website untrue to its purpose. That’s when article marketing comes in the picture. Everything depends on how you segregate your articles. Not to mention how you tag your articles with witty titles so that it would be easy for web dwellers to trip on your articles online. You could submit your written articles to different databases using different headings all at the same time. Worst case scenario. What if your site ranks down? It would definitely drag down your net traffic as well. Is it all over? The answer is no. Fortunately, because of the diversity, you can still expect visitors to your site. Credibility It is a common pitfall for many when they retrieve false information online. Indeed, credibility is one thing you can assure your visitors when they visit your site and read your articles. This is so important for SEO. People will definitely choose a site that they have already proven credible and trustworthy. That’s the good thing about a good visiting experience, satisfied visitors will surely come back for more. Good article marketing builds reputation. Credibility comes naturally when you provide your readers with beneficial articles. Eventually, after people realize that you actually know what you are writing about, that’s when they tag you as a credible resource writer. This means good business for you. SEO favors a credible site without a doubt. Nothing is more precious than being trusted by your target audience. Popularity and practicality Article marketing works. This industry should have died down if it’s not effective. That’s why it is now so popular. It can do the same to your site. Having good articles would surely promote your site. Before you know it, you have already acquired several back-links to your site. You will be surprised how fast your articles will publish all over the net. This can happen very fast depending on the quality of your articles. Your search engine ranking will be pulled up undoubtedly. And what’s great about this is that the whole process seems to be in auto-pilot. After sending out your articles, everything works automatically already. Less effort in your part. Not to mention the legitimacy issue of article marketing over directory submissions. Efficiency So how can you improve net traffic to your website? Sure you have articles to back you up but what else do you need? Make sure you don’t just write articles, you need to make sure you write top grade articles. That’s the key ingredient in this industry. Moreover, good article marketing assures you a richer flavor to your site. Aside from creative articles, you can also make use of your creativity to make your site more interactive or even with a personal touch. This method will definitely boost your search engine ranking. That’s what I call efficient. If you’re looking for the best articles to populate your site with, ArticleShark is where you can get free articles that will suit your niche.
2009 heralds my 30th(!!) year as co-owner/co-director of Camp Kamaji . . . and my first venture into the social networking world of linked-in, blogging, twittering . . . When Mike and I purchased Kamaji in 1980, the closest we came to technology was the vintage1959 electric typewriter and the huge-barreled mimeograph machine that was part of the “furniture” of Kamaji’s office. Having mastered 16 WPM on a manual typewriter in an elective high school typing class, I soon was able to surpass the QWERTY finger pecking of my pre-electric typewriter days
A tremendous exhilaration began rising inside of me, as I watched Ariya disappear into the treetops. All of my unanswered questions now faded into the background. The appearance of this mystical being, whatever she was, liberated me to the point that I was ready to forge ahead with reckless abandonment regardless of what I would have to face. This implausible helper being had gained my complete trust and I just knew, in my heart, that I was on the right track. Nothing mattered to me now except this elusive key, and with the help of this astonishing creature, I was certain that I would find it. I was confident that I would make my way back to a place in my heart that I had been away from far too long. The next morning, not surprisingly, Conqueror and I discovered an open trail leading out of the meadow, rescuing us from the tangled vines that we had been trapped in for weeks. And with spirits high, our journey resumed. For some reason, the kingdom and my previous decadent life were not missed at all, almost as if I had searched for this key before and knew intuitively how to do it. It was a feeling of a distant recall, that same feeling I had those many years ago before the war, when I stepped into the ring with my general. He was a good man, the General; he deliberately took an arrow that was meant for me. With unshakeable resolve, my nomadic existence continued as I wandered for weeks and months, with the months turning into years. My undying faith in the blacksmith, and now Ariya, instilled within me a most unusual courage. Nevertheless, my many unanswered questions remained. In my ragged robe, stringy hair, and long scruffy beard, I continued to roam for five long, uneventful years. If I had not been a trained warrior, I could have never persevered. I built temporary shelters with leaves and branches during the monsoon rains but never stayed in one place too long, wary of my many enemies, both from the kingdoms that I had conquered and, sadly, from my own kingdom as well. They would not rest until I was dead. I found water in streams and lakes, picked fruit and coconuts, fished, and trapped small animals, but for some inexplicable reason I became increasingly sensitive to taking animals’ lives, and eventually I could no longer kill them at all. I had to rely on only root vegetables and plants to supplement the fruits and nuts that sustained me. Something quite unfamiliar was stirring deep in my heart. But the isolation was devastating; an overwhelming remoteness, something that I had never experienced before. Without Conqueror, I could never have suffered this crushing loneliness that offered no escape. It was killing me. My body was severely weakened as well by the many fevers and illnesses that struck, and my muscles shrunk to half their normal size, but with the brave heart of a warrior, I continued. I was concerned; however, that one more fever would do me in. I was in my thirty-seventh year. One night, the mosquitoes were unusually fierce. I wrapped up tight in my torn, shabby robe but it helped little, and as the night wore on, I was attacked unmercifully. The wind then turned cold, and with no shelter from the driving north wind and freezing rain, I was soon soaked to the bone, freezing and shaking uncontrollably. Conqueror rolled in the mud next to me to break the wind, and I huddled next to the horse’s warm body. Memories of my kingdom and of my father haunted me and heavy doubt began creeping in as I longed for the things I had left behind. But that silent voice in my valiant heart whispered to me, “Go on.” Illness struck not long after this dreadful night with a fever as unrelenting as the persistent rains that drenched the forest. I was sweating, then freezing, and regardless of Conqueror dropping bananas near me, I was too weak to eat. I didn’t mind dying. I could accept that. But my heart was broken. Now I knew that I would never find my key. I was also bitterly disappointed with the cunning sorcerer who had lied to me about power, encouraging the commission of atrocities that now became a noose around my neck. I felt my helper being had let me down too, and the thought crossed my mind that perhaps I merely imagined Ariya. Maybe she was only a fanciful illusion brought on by loneliness. Only after my best efforts were exhausted would she come, she promised, and yet she was nowhere to be found. I knew now that she wasn’t coming, and my only concern was for my trusted friend; what would happen to Conqueror? It was cold and raining hard again that night, and as my good eye began to close, I began slipping away. I wasn’t sure whether I was dreaming or not, but there seemed to be a small point of light flickering through the fog and rain. Straining to see the faint green glow with my good eye, and all the remaining strength I had left, I was suddenly astonished by a blinding flash of blue-green radiance, as Ariya descended and stood before me. With her piercing eyes dancing, she entered my mind and said, “Did you doubt your helper being, my king?” Almost imperceptibly at first, I felt a mounting strength filling me. In no time, the fever was gone and my shaking stopped, and although the deluge continued, not a drop of rain fell on me. She was transferring her great power into my body; I could feel it, and she was saving my life. My heart melted. “Ariya, you didn’t forsake me; I thought perhaps you had.” “Oh my great king, your mind is filled with so many doubts. Just believe in me, and as you seek your key with all your heart, all will be well.” “I will, Ariya, I promise you. Part of me doubted you, but only for a moment. My heart never did. You promised that if I followed my heart, I would find my key and so I followed it for five lonely years, believing in you. And what I have come to realize is that until I find my key, I will always be lost, even with your help.” “Well said! You are really making progress! The five lonely years you have spent has cleared your vision a little. And this was your first test.” “My vision has cleared in many ways,” I replied, “but not completely. Although I trust you, I must tell you that I do not trust the sorcerer. He lied to me. He claimed his gold would give me power, which would lead to lasting happiness, but all it led to was suffering and death.” “Oh, the sorcerer! She replied. “Please, don’t judge him too harshly. Someday you will see him in a different light. The sorcerer is a master of masters and will always do what is in your best interests, even though you won’t understand things at the time. He knew you had an iron-strong will, which of course is required to find the key, but he knew as well that you would only believe what you discover for yourself, never believing what you are told. Would you have believed that all the gold and power in the world would not make a king happy? Of course not, so he let you see for yourself. You believed that killing had no severe repercussions, but your nature was to kill, certain that no repercussions could ever touch the greatest warrior in the land. The sorcerer could not alter your nature, only you can change that through something much stronger than the sorcerer, but he could open your eyes to the consequences of your nature. He knew that you would lose an eye because all of this, but considered it a small price to pay if it led you to a quest for the key.” She was right, of course, and as I looked back, I could see the sorcerer’s clever manipulations. This sorcerer was a very tricky individual indeed. “Ariya, five years ago you left before answering all of my questions, and now I have many more. Please, could you take a moment and satisfy this hunger that I have?” Ariya smiled, listening patiently and then began addressing the many questions she had already seen in my mind. She said that I had freewill, and that I could either return to my kingdom or continue my quest, that she would protect me either way. She said that I must be careful of this freewill; however, because I will feel the direct results of every action I consciously take, no matter how trivial. “Within your freewill,” she said, “you can search for truth; which is very difficult, or look the other way and take the easy path of least resistance. This is what most people do in the world; take a path of convenience. It seems easy, and they are not the least bit worried about their fate in the next world, thinking that they will handle whatever comes up later. Their destiny is then out of their hands. Life is impermanent; it has no unchanging subsistence and therefore becomes disappointing sooner or later. All things change. And if all things are constantly in flux, then there is no fixed “self,” or permanent soul that is unchanging. The fact that you, my king, are constantly changing gives you a chance to either expand your consciousness and escape from lifetime after lifetime of disappointments, going on to better worlds, or remain stuck in the human condition time after time which only guarantees eventual pain and death. “Everything is constantly changing, including yourself, and this can be frightening to some, even to warriors. But it is true that there is nothing we can count on. Your body will age, become ill and die, which your father has taught you, and our finest aspirations can become shattered as you discovered after conquering all of your kingdoms. Everything that has a beginning must end. When you finally find your key, you will know what it is like to have neither beginnings nor endings, and you will understand a Reality that is eternal. But for now, just remember that whatever you run from, you will eventually have to face. You can never go back to where you’ve been or who you’ve been . . . because everything changes.” I listened to Ariya with increasing interest. I probably couldn’t go back now, and it actually was no longer my intention to return to my kingdom, even though at times I felt as if I had abandoned my subjects, leaving them helpless without my leadership. But power could easily get into the wrong hands now, and if that happened, it would only be an additional hardship for my subjects. And if power was in the wrong hands, additional problems would develop for me; the new king would have to make sure that I never returned to cause complications. Just as I was thinking to myself that I was going to see this through no matter what, Conqueror‘s ears stood up. He nervously looked back into the dark forest. (To be continued) E. Copyright 2005 by Richard Rose .articleprobe.com There are sites on the net that serve tons of traffic everyday. Traffic you wish you had, right? The web is made up of billions of links, much like a spider’s web but on a larger scale. Search engines spider the web looking for new content to add to their massive databases so they can rank how relevant it is to particular search phrases. What are the search engines looking for? New content! In order for any search engine to provide relevant results to their visitors (so their visitors will repeatedly use them) they must provide the best results possible for every search performed on their site. The best search engine gets more traffic and more traffic means more advertising money for them - so search engines have to be up to date to stay competitive in their market. The big sites on the net, people, who have page rankings of 5 upwards, obviously serve a ton of visitors per day, provide search engines with a mass of links to follow and index. That’s why they go back to the big sites more often than the little ones. High traffic, very popular sites are visited by the search engine robots more often than sites with little traffic. Some large sites are visited by search engines as much as 2-4 times per month. How can article marketing increase your search engine traffic? By submitting articles you can get links from these high traffic sites. Furthermore you can optimize your articles with your search terms to get high rankings for that particular page. This would otherwise take weeks on a new site as oppose to a well established one such as this. Writing articles is the fastest and easiest way to get a stampede of people to your website that recognize your name by your signature and adhere to what you recommend. Most people reason that finding information in articles, forums, and discussion groups is a primary method of getting good information, and odds are that they were somewhat of an expert on that subject, and if they were experts then products and services they sold or recommended were likely to be good. You should always include a signature with your article, a few lines about your business, your website URL and/or email address. You will be amazed at the targeted traffic it will generate for you. If you are having trouble getting started I understand, and can tell you that writing is hard work. But once you write the first article it seems to get much easier. In fact, you may discover that you have a hard time stopping! 6 Ways to get started writing articles: 1. Get a notepad and pen, or use a word processor or computer, and just brainstorm ideas for articles. The best source for an article is usually from experience, or knowledge you have acquired in the past. If you are at a total loss, go and read some articles in other’s e-zines or websites. Once you get started you will come up with many ideas. Write each one down. If you think of a good title that includes a keyword about the article, write that down too, and include the keyword in the first sentence, or paragraph. 2. There are several ways writers work, depending on their personalities. You may like to order and organize your points first by making an outline of the information you plan to include or the points you intend to make. Then all you have to do is go back and “flesh out” the points, adding useful facts or links to more information. Or, you may be a natural teacher, and write just as though you are explaining the subject to the reader in person. Either method is fine, just do what is comfortable for you. One method may work best for one kind of article and the other for another kind. 3. Add “personality” to your writing. Share some of yourself with your readers, make your writing uniquely your own. It’s fine to read e-zines and others’ articles to see what people may be interested in and spark your own ideas, but don’t pattern yourself after someone else. People want to feel that they know You - Your knowledge and personality. This is what builds loyalty. If it fits with your subject, don’t be afraid to mention your product or service and give the URL or email address, but DON’T write a “glorified ad” and call it an article! That can offend a publisher so that they won’t even consider articles from you in the future. 4. After you’ve finished writing your article, read it through aloud, preferably to someone else who will ask questions if they don’t understand some point. 5. Run a spell checker! If you own Microsoft Word or something similar, run the grammar checker also. Have someone else proofread it for you. Even professional proofreaders will tell you that they try to have someone else proofread their own writing, because it is next to impossible to catch your own mistakes. 6. When you have finished your article and make the necessary changes, you will need to submit it to as many article directories as you can. Search the web for article directories to submit your article for free. There are also, paid services and software that will do the submissions for you, but you may want to wait until you have successfully written a few articles before you choose to pay. .allfreereports.com
